Electrical grade aluminum bus bar is also called ec grade aluminium busbar, normally have two types, one is pure aluminum, such as 1350, 1050, 1060 and 1070 alloy, pure aluminium has a conductivity of about 65% IACS. The other one is 6*** alloy, such as alloy 6061 and 6101, the alloy 6101 is quite common for busbar usage.
Electrical grade aluminum bus (pure aluminum)
Application of alloy 6101 in bus bar
Aluminum is subjected to oxidisation when exposed to the atmosphere. The coating of aluminum by different metals is one of the most comon commercial practices used to improve the stablity and to suppress the galvanic corrosion of aluminum-to -copper connection. The most widely used coating materials are tin, silver, copper, cadmium and nickel.
Alloy: 1050, 1350, 1060, 1070, 6101, 6063
Temper: H12, H112, T6, T65, T7, O
Thickness: 2-20mm
Width: Less than 300mm
Length: 3000mm--6000mm, or as per request.
Surface treatment: tin plating, silver plating, nickel plating, copper plating.
Insulated: with PVC tube or Dipping with the PVC material.
Further fabrication: Punched aluminum flat bar, perforated aluminum flat bar, aluminum flat bar with holes, black anodized aluminum flat bar.

(a) For alloys not shown. obtain conductivities from Table 13·2, and interpolate from the listed values.
(b) Per note on Table 1;3.2, 55% conductivity is much used as design basis for 6063·T6 alloys for tubes, hence coefficients should be taken from the column, headed 55%.
